We have been cooking good food in schools for over 70 years. We are on an incredible journey, taking all the good things from our amazing past, adding a sprinkle of culinary magic and transforming our catering offer.

Twelve15 — says it all

We are Twelve15.

Twelve15 comes from our deep roots here in Surrey, the home of the Magna Carta that was signed in 1215 on the banks of the River Thames at Runnymede. This iconic great charter resonates with our own values in its belief of fair rights for every individual. It is our belief that every child has a right to good food.

We take our responsibility of influencing young people to make good food choices that will impact on their health and wellbeing so that they can enjoy long happy lives. 12- 15 is also the body fat percentage that the world’s top athletes strive to achieve so our name also reflects how seriously we take the healthy body development of future generations.

Twelve15 sounds like a time on the clock too. Team Twelve15 believes that we passed the last hour when it comes to our very special planet, Earth. We will do all that we can to ring the alarm bell louder to help people live a healthier, more responsible lifestyle, to be better with their bodies and the precious world around us.

Meet the chefs of this term

Abi Casbierd

Development Chef

The engine of our menu development is Abi, our incredible, highly talented, award winning food guru. Abi loves all things new, different and finds inspiration from food safaris around the Country. Try her Squash-age Roll from our menu!


Martina Luizzi


Loves all things Italian, Asian and can't resist berries. Rosemary and basil are her favourite herbs and as a real artistic and crafty creative, loves perfecting the finishing touches. She makes amazing dishes for the tummy and for the eyes too!


Max Romanzin


Max is more than our herb of Provence, as he brings inspiration from around the world when it comes to flavours. He loves Chinese cuisine and he is a fan of Spanish street food. Kids say he makes the best brownies ever!

Chef Assistant

If there is something fishy, Karen is surely around. She loves fish dishes and she loves experimenting with different flavours and goes well beyond mushy peas. If you want to make her day, bring mint with you to the kitchen! That's her very favourite herb.


Josefine Austin


Josephine was only 6 years old when she knew she wanted to be a chef. She is drawn to Swedish cuisine. It was the fabulous Swedish flavour combinations that led her to be crowned London and South East School Chef of the Year in 2019.


John Hodges


The finest of pastry chefs, who truly loves baking. He makes the best in class macaroons (LACA Finishing Touches 2019) and perfect dough is something that makes him tick. You do want to have a slice of bread from his kitchen.


Charlotte Harris


It's important to know and practice our traditions. Charlotte loves traditional foods but when it comes to baking, she is a real adventurer. She has passion to work with fresh fruits and vegetables and amazes us all showing how much you can do with potatoes!
